4.16 Pits, Land & pre-groove 坑、台和预制沟槽

The information on a BD is stored in a similar way as the CD-format or the DVD format; using pits and lands (or marks and spaces in case of recordable and re-recordable formats) in a spiral pattern starting at the inner radius of the disc. On a BD-ROM disc, the pits are defined as either a cavity or a bump in the metal film and the land as the area between the pits in the spiral direction.

信息在BD光盘上的记录方式和CD格式或DVD格式差不多;使用"坑"和"台"(或可录、可重写格式中的"标记"和"间隔")构成的起始于盘片内圈的螺旋线。在一张BD盘片上,"坑"被定义成金属膜上的凹坑或凸起,而"台"被定义成在螺旋线方向上坑与坑之间的区域。

For the recordable and re-recordable formats (i.e. BD-R & BD-RE), the unrecorded disc doesn't contain any pits or lands to start with, but instead a continuous spiral with the same track pitch as the pit spiral of a BD-ROM disc. In the recording process, a consumer recorder burns user data in the spiral groove by exposing the recording material in the groove to heat. The heat from the recording laser transforms a small part of the groove creating a "mark" which in the reading phase has a similar function as the pits of a BD-ROM disc. The area between recorded marks on BD-R/RE disc is called "space".

对于可录和可重写格式(即BD-R和BD-RE)来说,未记录的盘片上没有以"坑"或"台"开始的螺旋线,而是一条连续螺旋线,其螺旋轨道间距与BD-ROM的坑形螺旋线一致。在刻录过程中,消费光驱在螺旋沟槽中通过用热量曝光记录材料来烧入用户数据。刻录激光用热量改变沟槽上的一小块区域的读取相就形成了一个"标记",其功能和BD-ROM盘片上的"坑"像似。而BD-R/RE盘片上刻录"标记"之间的区域就称之为"间隔"。

On the BD-Format, a coding system based on RLL 1.7 (run-length limitation) is used. This means that the least number of zeroes in the channel bit stream is one and the most number of zeroes in the channel bit stream is seven. Converted to pits and lands it means that the shortest pit will be two lime units long (i.e. 2T) and the longest will be eight time units long (i.e. 8T). In addition to this, a 9T synchronization pattern is used to be able to transform the channel bit stream back to data bits in reading phase.

BD格式的编码系统采用RLL1.7(游程长度限制)。这意味着通道比特流中0的最少个数为1,最多为7。转换为坑和台就意味着最短的坑形为2个时间单位(2T),而最长的坑形为8个时间单位(8T)。另外9T用于在读取过程中将通道位转回数据位所需的同步码。
