4.21 Write strategy 写策略

For both BD-R and BD-RE format, the recording process is based on heat. The focused laser light is heating up the recording layer to a desired temperature at with it either decomposes or changes phase depending on the type of recording layer. The laser light is carefully pulsed to expose the groove just enough to create a mark of the right length. Different pulse lengths create marks of different lengths. The gaps between the recording pulses are also used as part of the recording process, as the absence of a recording pulse in a way creates the spaces between the marks.

BD-R和BD-RE两种格式的刻录过程都是基于加热的。聚焦的激光将记录层加热到期望的温度,不同类型的记录层,或产生分解或发生相变。激光经仔细的脉冲调制,恰到好处的对预制沟槽进行曝光,使之刚好形成正确长度的记录标记。不同的脉冲长度产生不同长度的记录标记。记录脉冲之间的间隔也是记录过程的一部分,因为刻录脉冲关闭就形成了记录标记之间的间隔。

During the recording process, controlling the temperature in the recording stack is the key to achieve good recording performance. The difficult thing is not to get the temperature up to the desired level, but to reduce the temperature fast enough in those areas where no recording is to take place (i.e. the spaces between the marks). As the recorded marks and spaces are very short and recording is done at a very high linear velocity, thermal interference between the recorded marks does occur. If the thermal interference is not controlled, it creates an undesired mark growth, which increases the problems during playback. This could eventually jeopardize the user data integrity.

在刻录过程中,记录栈的温度控制是获得好的记录性能的关键。使温度接近期望值是非常困难的事情,但使未记录区域(即记录"标记"之间的"间隔")快速降温则是易于实现的。因为记录标记和间隔都非常短,记录过程的线速度很高,标记和间隔之间会发生热干涉。如果热干涉失控,就会产生非预期的标记延长,这将使播放问题增多。数据的完整性将受损。

To reduce the effects of the thermal interference a write strategy is used. By using a predesigned write strategy, the recording pulse is carefully shaped depending on the length of the mark that is currently being recorded as well as the length of the space that is preceding the mark currently being recorded. The write strategy is normally encoded in the control data section of the disc.

为了减轻热干涉的影响,必须使用写策略。通过预设的写策略,根据将要刻录的标记长度以及该标记之前的间隔长度,刻录脉冲被精确整形。写策略通常编码于盘片的控制数据中。
